About The Deeners
The Country Cricket Club in the City.
Established in 1945, The Deeners is a club with a strong pedigree and passionate players and volunteers. Alongside the junior program there are currently 3 mens teams playing in the Eastern Cricket Association. A womens' team is planned for the coming seasons.

History
Deepdene Uniting Cricket Club was established in 1945 directly after World War II. It was originally known as Deepdene Methodist Cricket Club and was connected to the Church in Nungerner St Balwyn. It changed to Deepdene Uniting Cricket Club in 1977 when the church name changed. Originally our home ground was Macleay Park, where the netball courts now stand. Our current home grounds are Hays Paddock and Willsmere Reserve, East Kew.

Values
We have built a club that is welcoming to people of any background, is inclusive and diverse in it’s make up. We want to ensure the club remains a sport for all players, administrators, volunteers and supporters. We embrace the ‘spirit of cricket’ and it’s values.

My son has played at The Deeners now for 2 years and he loves it. We love it too, it's a great community and the fact that they have professional coaches really appealed to us.
Ally,
Player Parent
We're thrilled to welcome girls and boys of any age and standard to come and join our junior teams - to have fun, learn new skills, and fall in love with our great game.
Michael Leeds,
President, The Deeners
Our daughter is keen to play and the focus on being an inclusive club that helps build dreams for kids and their families makes The Deeners really attractive.
